Brazos Valley Veterans Express originated with the Brazos Valley Veterans Task Force in the fall of 2021. This group of veterans and volunteers identified solutions and partnered with the Brazos Transit District and Brazos Valley Center for Independent Living to provide free, accessible transportation to veterans and their immediate family members. The only requirement for the use of this service is verification of a DD214 or a current military ID.

Brazos Valley Veterans Express drivers are all volunteers so transportation is scheduled based on availability. Transportation is scheduled by the following priorities: medical appointments, significant life events, and social calls.
